Where: 9A Hamilton Pl.  (across from Park Street Green/Red Lines Train Station)

This year the March calendars are  filled with activities celebrating International Women’s Day and acknowledging the impetus for change that grew out of the Civil Rights Struggle. The events will commemorate countless heroines who gave their lives in one way or another in the fight for the equality of women.  The commemorations go hand in hand with celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women globally.  However, here In the USA, women are still demanding “equal pay for equal work.”

While there is recognition that women are a significant part of  the workforce and frequently the sole wage earner in families, support for working women has been woefully inadequate. Gender inequality remains a major issue.
